What you’ll send: You are required to send us a CSV (comma separated values) of your email list in the following format:
- Column 1: Name (required)
- Column 2: Email (required)
- Column 3: Optional identifier (optional)
- Column 4-6: Optional tags/identifiers if necessary (optional)
What you’ll receive back: Your CSV spreadsheet with an additional column giving the status of each email. You’ll also receive a key so you will know what each status means. It is up to you to sort the list and take any actions (such as removing invalid emails). However, if you purchase our sort & handling option, we will sort the data for you and provide you with 3 CSV files: one for valid emails, one for questionable emails, and one for invalid emails. Questionable emails are ones which may be good but the email service won’t respond to inquiries. These may be emails you’ll want to check open history for and then make decisions.
It is recommended to validate your email list if it’s been dormant for a long time or every six months.
Your email list will only be used to submit to the validation service. We will not share, harvest, or otherwise use your list. Your email list will remain private.
